The word sex is still taboo in many houses of faith. However, God is the author of sex and he did not make sex to be perverted or abused. Sex was made for procreation between a woman and a man. This series will take a faith based holistic approach to discussing sex and sexuality. There will be topics of discussion on human anatomy and human sexuality. Sexual identity issues will be explored. In addition, sexual trauma, lust, and pornography will be discussed.
Course Description: This course will explore the world of sex and human sexuality from a faith based approach. Students will learn about human sexuality and the body and what God intended sex to be used for. Students will explore how sexual trauma can damage human development and stunt emotional growth. The student will be strengthened and empowered to walk in a Christian based lifestyle when it pertains to sexual well-being.
Purpose: To dispel the myths of sex and sexuality and to address the emotional scarring that developed from sexual trauma, abuse, and lust filled lives. Also, the purpose is to promote healthy views concerning the body and sex.
